Anonymity should feel like freedom, not a free pass.
StrangerMeetup is for adults 18 and older. Text chat is currently available; voice and video calling are not enabled.
Share less
Keep passwords, payment details, your address, and other identifying information out of stranger chats.
Leave freely
Skip or end a conversation whenever you want. Blocking only applies to the current anonymous session; it cannot recognize someone who reconnects with a new session.
Report carefully
Reports are stored temporarily, but no live moderation team monitors them. Do not rely on a report for urgent help.
Community rules
Follow these rules in every conversation.
Be respectful. Harassment, hate, threats, and bullying are not welcome.
Do not share passwords, financial details, your address, or private contact information.
Leave, block, or report at the first sign of behavior that makes you uncomfortable.
Filters are limited
Some messages containing known sensitive terms or multiple links are blocked. This is not a comprehensive safety system and it will not catch every harmful message. There is no live moderator watching conversations.
If someone may be in immediate danger
Leave the conversation and contact local emergency services or someone you trust. StrangerMeetup is not an emergency response service.
